Perhaps no regiment, and no regimental commander, is more mythologized at the Battle of Gettysburg than the 20th Maine and Joshua Chamberlain.  From the Killer Angels, to Ken Burns' "Civil War", and Ted Turner's "Gettysburg", they have gotten more press than most other units combined.  In this program we will unpack some of those more pervasive myths and legends, we'll try to get to the bottom of what actually happened on the Union left flank, and we'll talk about the role these 380 Maine men played in the defense of the Union left on July 2nd, 1863.
