July 1, 2014: Soldiers National Cemetery


On this, the 151st Anniversary of the start of the Battle of Gettysburg this program will take a look at the background and development of the final resting place of many of the Union and several of the Condederate dead fof the great battle.  A detailed, in-depth tour of the Cemetery grounds will be conducted and stories of many who were instumental in its development and of some of those who rest there will be told.  Meet at the Rostrum inside the Taneytown Road gate.  The program will take place on  pavement and across the lawns and the total walk will be less than a mile.
