August 31, 2024 – Panel Discussion

As a conclusion to the 2024 Academy we will hold an open-ended panel discussion focusing on the licensing process.  A panel of  Veteran Guides will share their licensing experience, how they prepared for their Tier I exam and especially the dreaded “Oral Exam.”  All will share hints and suggestions and will answer questions on all phases of the exam process or any Academy questions that you may have!  It’s your chance to have a gaggle of guides available at one place at a single time – each eager to share their experience preparing for this challenging exam.

Our distinguished panel will consist of Bruce Rice, Les Fowler, Jasan Hileman, Tom Clark, Jessie Wheedleton, and Mike Ruppert.  Collectively, they represent over fifty-five years of guiding experience. Four members of our panel were successfully licensed under the revamped tier-based licensing system and therefore can share how they prepared for the exam and their experience progressing through the various levels.  All six panelists once sat where candidates do now and can share preparation strategies.
